16 Weeks!!

I'm still too shy to be taking photos of my ever expanding waist-line, but let me assure you: I am growing quickly and... as someone who has been obsessed with her weight since she was in high school, sometimes it's a little tough to handle. Ryan hugged me when he came home today and he was quite surprised to notice Bruno holding him back. Of course, I responded with "so you think I'm fat", which - by the way - can be used with any number of comments. I.e., "hey you look nice today!" "What are you saying, every other day I look fat?"

See? I should teach a class.

Anyways, I am still apparently sick, although I am trying to stay off of the Diclectin as much as I can. This baby doesn't like ANYTHING I eat, so I'm at a loss of what to do next.

I bought some more onesies that were on sale at Wal-Mart. I'm pretty pumped about them because they're super cute. I can't wait to use them!! I also can't wait for 2 weeks from now when I get to find out what sex this baby is so I can buy colour-specific clothing!!! Eee!! Time is still going by really slow!!!!!!

Until the next time, peace out! ;)

Time is SLOW!!!

I walk past the spare bedroom every time I go to my office, which is about 80 times a day. And every time I walk by, I imagine even more of how I'm going to decorate the nursery. And every time I have to remind myself that I can't until we at least know what the baby is, and I should wait until at least June to start buying stuff. I'm the most impatient person in the world!!!!!

CNN Breastfeeding Report

Reposted from Amy

If you have not read it yet, DO. You can read it HERE. It reports on things that the breastfeeding community has known for years. Somehow having a major new source has validated it and people are starting to actually listen! The benefits to breastfeeding your baby are astounding and the argument that formula is "just as good" is taking hit after hit here recently. Babies are dying of illnesses that can be lessened or eradicated just be breastfeeding. Especially in premature babies. Granted there are women out there who actually can not breastfeed but those reasons are so few and far between. As women we need to stand together and encourage each other to breastfeed for the health of our babies. We also, however, need our health care system to get behind us as well. I consider this article a call to action! Who is with me??

What is "sleep?"

I can barely remember!!

For the past few nights, sleep has come little and far in between. Today I decided something needs to change... Bauer needs to remember that licking himself at 2, 3, 4 and 5am is not acceptable, I need to find a new way to sleep (my hips are killing me! Body pillow, here I come!), and Ryan is not allowed to drink water past 7pm anymore!

I guess this is the Universe's way of preparing me for what is to come!
