22 Weeks!!

Only 18 to go!!

I can't express how much I love this part of the pregnancy. I feel great, I'm tired but not overly tired, I can still sleep most of the night, I enjoy my exercise and walks with Bauer, and the feeling of her little feet kicking is the most amazing feeling I've ever felt!!! She's got me in the ribs once or twice to which I didn't really enjoy, but all in all the kicking has been the most magical thing ever. Ryan still hasn't felt her kick but I'm sure he will soon. I just have to make him come to me when she's being feisty!!

We're also thisclose to deciding on a name. Naturally, we're going to wait until we meet her for the FINAL decision, but I think we're going with.... (drum roll, please)....

Aryn Linda Geremia (pronounced "ERIN")

We love the meaning behind "Aryn" (it's "RYAN" mixed up... I suggested Nedise for a boy but I was vetoed quite quickly) and it's the only name we both LOVE and agree on. Plus, it's unique (Isabella is the #1 name this year because of stupid Twilight so we weren't 100% on Isabelle).

Ryan thinks that her nickname should still be Gert (or Gertie) but I've taken to calling her Aryn. And every time I look at her little profile in the ultrasound photos, I see her as an Aryn even more!

I've also gone nuts buying little things here and there. We've gotten some clothes as gifts (thanks Auntie Shirly!) but I still have to buy something every time I'm out it seems. When we found out we were having a little girl I went and bought her a pink elephant. I can't wait to decorate her bedroom!! We're going to start sanding and painting her new furniture (which used to be my furniture!) this weekend hopefully and I can't wait to see this room complete!! Next step: get rid of the king bed and put in a crib! YAY!!!

18 weeks to go... or... 126 DAYS TO GO!!

  1. Woohoo!! Not long! The last 8 weeks are the ones where time drags by for me. I never really got totally uncomfortable where I couldn't sleep and that either. Hopefully you won't either!

  2. Such a good name!! :) I can't wait to meet her <3
PS. Ask mom how often my elbows would get stuck in between her ribs, hahaha. Apparently it's not very comfortable for mama.

  3. I gotta tell you... as uncomfortable it is to be kicked at 4am... I wouldn't trade it for the world. It's just the most amazing feeling. I can't wait to meet her too!!
